Susann Kern
An experienced sales, marketing, and MICE specialist with strong commercial strategy skills, I am accustomed to working in result-oriented, fast-paced, and multicultural organizations. I am German at work and Italian at heart!
We met Susann as a client, and after years of collaboration, she decided to move to the "other side" of things.
Susann holds a German degree in "Hotel & Tourism Management" and began her career abroad, spending four years in Thailand in commercial roles at Hilton Phuket and Hilton Cluster Bangkok. In 2017, she moved to the UAE to lead the MICE department at the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority. In this role, she was responsible for developing and growing the MICE business for the destination, as well as managing destination events and conferences from conception to execution in alignment with the Authority’s long-term strategy. Her journey included achieving two Guinness World Records, organizing fam trips and conventions for tour operator associations, pitching international sports events, and presenting the destination at major international B2B trade fairs, such as ITB, WTM, ATM, and IMEX.
In her three years as Director of Sales & Marketing at a Hilton Hotel in Italy, Susann developed and executed national and international strategies for leisure, corporate, and MICE segments, with a strong focus on hotel promotion, B2B contract negotiation, coordinating PR and marketing activities, and fostering stakeholder relations.
