The Brief 

The Saudi Tourism Authority entrusted Tourism Hub with the organization of the first press trip dedicated to the Italian market, marking an important milestone in the destination’s communication strategy.

The experiences, places, and tourism products selected for the itinerary offered the journalists authentic inspiration and fresh storytelling angles, giving rise to new narratives that reveal a fascinating destination still largely waiting to be explored.

The Project

The Tourism Hub team enthusiastically embraced the request from the Saudi Tourism Authority, seizing the opportunity to offer three selected journalists an authentic immersion into the atmosphere and tourism offering of Saudi Arabia.

Three distinguished representatives of the Italian press were involved, chosen for their ability to narrate the journey through prominent national media partnerships — from online newspapers to lifestyle magazines — effectively reaching the target audience.

The six-day itinerary explored some of the country’s most iconic wonders: Riyadh, with its elegant balance of modernity and tradition and the warm Saudi hospitality; AlUla, in the heart of the desert, where luxury resorts blend seamlessly into majestic landscapes and the precious heritage of the fascinating Nabataean civilization; the charming alleys of lively Jeddah; and finally, five-star relaxation along the crystal-clear waters of the Saudi Red Sea.

The participants’ feedback was overwhelmingly positive: the journey generated exceptional storytelling potential, offering numerous insights and narratives to share with the Italian audience.
