The Brief
Tahiti Tourisme is enthusiastically seeking collaboration opportunities with brands that share the destination’s identity, values, and target audience. Tourism Hub has proposed a partnership with a brand that represents quality, beauty, and the culture of photography – a world that is naturally connected to that of travel. Leica Camera Italia, in particular, holds a positioning that is highly appealing to its clientele, and is especially well aligned with the profile of the potential traveler interested in French Polynesia.
The Project
Through the collaboration with Leica Camera Italia, Tourism Hub selected two exceptional creators for the production of social media content, photos, and videos that capture the most authentic soul of The Islands of Tahiti.
- Luigi Chiurchi (Leica Ambassador) and Pietro Ienca embarked on a journey to the breathtaking Marquesas Islands, capturing unique images of the local people, the light, the natural landscapes, and the wildlife that make this UNESCO World Heritage site so special.
- The emotions and experiences of their journey were shared on the creators' social media channels throughout the exploration, and after the trip through posts, reels, stories, and a dedicated article on the blog Trip in Your Shoes.
- Luigi and Pietro’s photographs also became the highlight of a photography exhibition titled “The Islands of Tahiti, the Primordial Soul”, which premiered during the “Meet The Islands of Tahiti” event.
- Alongside the 18 featured photographs, a video produced as part of the project was also presented at the event, immersing attendees in the unique atmosphere of the destination.
- The exhibition was later officially hosted in Turin, at the Leica Store Torino, from January to April 2025. To mark the opening, an inaugural event was held, dedicated to the press, trade professionals, and end consumers.
- The exhibition also served as a draw to organize various training sessions, B2B and B2C events in February and March
