Aussie Specialist Famtrip 2024
Target Audience
Qualified Aussie Specialist travel agents
The brief
Organizing and accompanying an educational trip dedicated to Aussie Specialist travel agents in collaboration with Visit Victoria and Western Australia, with support from flights provided by Singapore Airlines. The goal was to show selected first-time agents the tourist offerings of two very different states to better understand the immense variety of the Australian territory and to share the experiences with their clients by proposing group trips.
The project
At the end of the Australian summer, Tourism Australia organized a fam trip with eight qualified Aussie Specialist agents who had never been to Australia before. The trip began in the city of Melbourne, where participants admired the city's rich contrasts: from Belle Époque buildings to neighborhoods filled with street artists, where they tried their hand at their first mural.
The trip continued to the iconic Phillip Island to admire the renowned Penguin Parade. The group was lucky as more than 900 little penguins appeared at sunset! The Great Ocean Road was one of the highlights of this itinerary, where a surfing lesson excited many, and the Twelve Apostles viewed from a helicopter enchanted everyone.
The adventure continued in Western Australia, where Perth welcomed the group with bright sunshine. After visiting the city, we continued south to Margaret River, making sure to stop in Rockingham, where an exciting tour allowed everyone to swim with wild dolphins and admire them up close.
The coasts of the Margaret River region offered unforgettable views: white beaches, the pristine Margaret River, and the visit to one of the oldest caves in the world, where an Aboriginal guide enriched the experience with stories of their people and a didgeridoo performance. The last night was special: for the first time, we had the opportunity to overnight on Rottnest Island glamping surrounded by funny and curious quokkas.
This experience gave participants much more confidence in proposing and selling the destination to their clients, having experienced firsthand the uniqueness of the land Down Under.
